Data Analysis Club

Apply your programming skills to your research

Every other Wednesday from 4:00pm – 5:30pm

Have you coded before or know some coding basics, but aren’t sure how to apply those skills to real research? Are you interested in applying advanced bioinformatics pipelines? Do you want to create publication-quality analyses and figures? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Data Analysis Club can help you work towards these goals in a friendly and supportive community of peers.

This Spring semester, we will continue to meet biweekly and work on developing our coding skills in a friendly and supportive community of peers. In particular, we expect to explore machine learning, RNA-seq, and other workflows using either Python or R. Each session, the facilitator(s) or another group member will introduce a data set or a research question. As a group, we will go through the analysis workflow, troubleshoot projects and share computational expertise.
