This workshop is intended as a conceptual introduction to Bayesian statistics and Monte Carlo estimation as well as an overview of using Stan for analyzing research data. There will be an introductory lecture and an interactive workshop component. The session is aimed at scientists/non-statisticians, though familiarity with R and core concepts from statistics and probability is recommended. If you’d like to follow along during the workshop component, it would be helpful to pre-install some of the packages that will be covered using the R commands below.
