MERFISH Data Portal

About MERFISH Data Portal

Multiplexed error robust fluorescence in situ hybridization (MERFISH) is a spatial transcriptomics technology based on multiplexed single-molecule imaging. This image-based approach to single-cell transcriptomics offers the ability to quantify not only the copy number of RNAs within cells but also the intracellular RNA location and the spatial organization of cells within cultures or tissues.

The MERFISH data portal consists of three components: (1) an R/Bioconductor data package that implements single command actualization of MERFISH landmark datasets, (2) a Posit Connect interface that enables interactive exploration of the data, and (3) an analytic code repository that demonstrates applicability of novel analytic methods such as spatial graph analysis and cell-cell interaction analysis on MERFISH data.
