Education

CCB is committed to serving as a centralized resource for computational, bioinformatics, and statistical education for graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and research staff across HMS.

Customized Education

We work alongside departments and other research communities at HMS to tailor education for their research domain and current skill levels. We customize a variety of educational resources, including self-guided modules, trainings, bootcamps, and course materials. If interested in these, or any other tailored educational offering, please click the Connect with CCB button in the top-right corner or simply email ccbhelp@hms.harvard.edu.

Workshops and Seminars

In addition to our customized educational material, we coordinate with the HSPH Bioinformatics Core (HBC) and HMS Research Computing (RC) to host bioinformatics skills workshops and seminars. Learn more about our educational opportunities in the menu to the left and review our calendar for any upcoming trainings.

R Programming and Statistics Office Hours

CCB is hosting weekly help sessions for analyzing and visualizing data in R, as well as providing statistical advice on research questions. HMS students, postdocs, research staff, and faculty can book a specific time slot by emailing Andrew Ghazi or are welcome to drop-in throughout the 2 hour session to ask for help using R or statistical analysis of their data.

Please note – any advice given during these sessions must be discussed with the PI of the project before implementing it into the research approach.
