Biography
Dr. Smriti Chawla earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from the University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kurukshetra University, India and her Master’s in Oncology from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom in 2014. Prior to PhD, she worked as an Associate Biomodelling Scientist for Cellworks Research India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Smriti received her PhD degree in Computational Biology at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D), India. She studied how representing single cancer cells in the pathway space helps us better gauge the disease, its progression and its patient-specific drug sensitivity profiles. Her research interest includes Bioinformatics and computational biology, with applications in Single cell genomics & transcriptomics, System biology, Cancer biology and Precision Oncology.
