Biography
Dr. Laha Ale earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Southwest University of Science and Technology in 2011 and his Ph.D. in Geospatial Computer Science from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2021. His research focused on mobile edge computing resources, spatial computing, deep learning, and deep reinforcement learning during his graduate training. Before beginning his graduate program, Dr. Ale worked as a software engineer for Tieto, Symantec, and Veritas for seven years. Dr. Ale joined the Center for Computational Biomedicine jointly with the Department of Biomedical Informatics in January 2022 as a postdoc. Dr. Ale’s research interests are machine/deep learning, data visualization, and the application of geospatial computing methods to human data.
